Christopher Auker-Howlett and Mary Jordan conduct a brief, but poignant, Service outside St. John's Church in Churchdown.
Although Covid-19 restrictions have meant that many events have had to be postponed or cancelled, it didn't feel right to let the 75th Anniversary of this momentous event pass by unnoticed.
Ladies from Helping Hands Community Crafters hand made vast amounts of quality bunting that GCN Volunteers, Chris Auker-Howlett, Paul Elksnis and Janet Murden helped string up around Churchdown.
GCN volunteer Veterans Chris and Dex from Alabare, and GCN Trustee, Gary Murden helped erect a display at St. John's Church where VJ Day information and Wreaths could be laid. Thanks also to GCN volunteers, Roy and Kris for helping to relocate the display board materials to St. John's!

Thank you to Sharon, the Store Manager of Tesco, Churchdown Branch, who allowed Chris set up an information table for VJ Day and for Mental Health awareness.
