Gloucester Community Networking
Better Together
Better Together
Despite Gloucester being home to six barracks spread across the county, there remains a noticeable gap in support infrastructure for the wider military community. Veterans, serving personnel, reservists, and military families often find themselves navigating various sources for information and assistance without a central Forces Hub to streamline access.
Building on the Gloucester FHUB popup » that took place in April 2025, we are now running a monthly Gloucestershire FHUB - Multi Agency Networking & Drop-in. This is in addition to the existing Forces Hubs in the following three locations:
The venue for the Glos FHUB is Roots Cafe » 69, Alvin Street, Gloucester, GL1 3EH.
This monthly session is providing the resources as meeting the assessed needs from the 2 week proof of concept Glos FHUB pop-up event that took place in April 2025 in the Eastgate Shopping Centre.
As we currently only have limited funds and resources, this new FHUB will be held once a month, on the first Monday of each month and will run until Dec 2026. However, with additional funding and support, our aim is to move from monthly to once-weekly and eventually to a number of days per week.
Funding for this new Glos-FHUB has been provided by the Gloucester County Council's Thriving Communities Fund »
Our goal is to provide a welcoming drop-in centre to meet, socialise and to provide a networking space between organisations who are or who want to support Armed Forces communities within the Armed Forces Covenant »
