Imjin Barracks - Warrent Officers' & Sergeants' Mess - D-Day Themed Christmas Party

Gloucester Community Networking and our W.O.R.S. 'War Out Reach in Schools' educational project was asked to support a D-Day themed Christmas Party at the WO&Sgt Mess at Imjin Barracks, Innsworth, Gloucester ».
GCN Volunteers also included Veterans from the Alabare Homeless Veterans Charity » in the setting up the W.O.R.S. Mobile Trench, fake Sentry Fire acted as the entrance to the Mess. GCN Volunteers Chris Auker-Howlett & Patrick Meulbrouck welcomed party guests, dressed as WW2 British Sentries.
GCN W.O.R.S. Volunteers were dressed in British and American WW2 uniforms and supported party guests with uniforms and decommissioned rifles and machine guns for staged photos.
Other W.O.R.S. resources were used around the Mess to add the the D-Day atmosphere created by the Mess Committee. The Mess paid for most of the W.O.R.S. resources.

Our Volunteers also have access to other period uniforms including American Civil War, Napoleonic and WW1.
